Poems 07:11
POEMS The ghost town's near. I sense isolation's fear. Distant gray clouds crawl. Bending spoons unsolved. Voices bouncing through the canyon, guns in tune. A passing firefly, the never ending sky. I know there must be aliens above me. Myths devour truth, star lights shining proof. If you're letting your life go by regret will multiply then return to burn all the fallen leaves that fade through time, and answers won't follow thee. There's a train rolling in through darkness.

Ceasefire 04:24
CEASEFIRE Is this war? Not sure? An open door? A show of what's in store? Take my hand. Follow my eyes. Wear your disguise for nevermore. See the birds fly and soar. With wings controlled by war they soar to the other side. And now your gone, and I can't go on. I hope that you know that I can feel you in my bones. Stop the war. Stop the war. Stop your wars. War's not yours.

SILHOUETTE ON THE HILL Stand alone on the top of the hill, and chase faith away with your dogged will. Don't ever let them shake you or break you down. Dare to wear the crown all alone. Mother Earth is meant to be roamed. Good conversations can always be found. Shelter yourself from getting so caught up in searching for that golden cup. A reputation is never safe and sound. Further down where the varmints dream and rivers turn into forgettable streams lies a memory of watching your friend drown. Sun's up.... Sun's down.... Trust bursts black clouds. Spirals surround a silhouette's silent sound. Spirals surround a silhouette's silent sound. Underneath gravity's pull Mother Earth descends on the wolves. Don't ever let them break you or shake you down. Standing alone on the top of the hill, a silhouette's shadow silently still. Good conversations can always be found.

EXOMOON REMAINS The edge of love light is hanging above your pain. So of course it looks like rain. There's grace in grinding through this maze of mess and flames. Fire binding, ice remains. Do you see lightning when you're trying in your head? Do you like fighting with your head? Why go hiding when you break instead of bend? Slowly climb towards the mend. Barely gliding will only carry you oh so far. There is no maker only makeshift scars. You'll wind up finding there are no answers for your thoughts. To face your fear is never wrong. In your early days when the pack attacks hurt so hard nothing mattered then voila, gone. Can you see lightning when you're smiling in your head? Do you like smiling in your head? Do you fear lightning will come and strike you down right dead? Do you feel blinded when seeing red? Go down fighting for all those times you've fought. Take a breath, stare down the stars. Struck by lightning while you're fighting with your head. That's how life works then you're dead. Sometimes frightening things they calm you down instead. Like seeing a fire burning up ahead. It's so frightening when you're striking down what's dead. Why keep striking down what's dead? Have you seen lightning when you're struggling with your head? It's alright, it's just in your head. I swear it'll be gone when you wake up tomorrow morn. Exomoon will remain, but it'll all be gone. It'll all be gone. It'll all be gone. It will all be gone. Just hold on.

Sway 05:41
SWAY I watched the sand take shape, crossing lines of fate. We aren’t supposed to stay, but live our lives with grace. I saw you pick apart the pain that surrounds our hearts, and dive in head first hard with no regrets and no regard. Oh when the trees bend and sway I smile and I sway. I know its you reaching out in your own way, I believe it. I believe that you’ve broken the bond that keeps light dark. I watched your hands shake and reach. Always intending to teach. Colors crashing in to dreams, and living in sunsets and streams. Galaxies apart, I know you're swimming with our hearts. Sending signs from afar. Pulling oceans toward the stars. Oh when the trees bend and sway I smile and I sway. I know its you reaching out in your own way, I believe it. I believe that you’ve broken the bond that keeps light dark so darkness can never haunt. Now forever is no longer what I want. It's swimming in the ether. It's getting nearer. It's swimming in the ether. It's getting clearer. Oh when the trees bend and sway I smile and I sway. I know its you reaching out in your own way, I believe it. I believe that you’ve broken the bond that keeps light dark so darkness can never haunt. Now forever is no longer what I want. I watched the sand take shape.

APOCALYPTICAL CLOCK Watching pinwheels spinning round as an avalanche crashes down. Perhaps the past invades abounds. The ambitious Holy Ghost is vagabonding down the coast, and intimidating most. Bizarre nonsense moonshot code talk over these vast oceans on top of this rock we are floating on. While the time it ticks on the clock you begin to fall apart as you descend into the dark. Notwithstanding the photographs of an accident cut in half, I'd say the future defeats the past. Uncertainty lives discrete, absolute, and incomplete. Anticipation on repeat. Ten thousand thoughts distraught with this plot scramble what is and what is not into purpose, or maybe not. As the time it ticks on the clock sometimes the world decides to stop. Enter apocalyptical thought. Bizarre nonsense moonshot code talk beneath these glass oceans on top of this rock we are floating on. While the time it ticks on the clock you open up your heart, and learn to let go of all that's gone. In the throes... In the throes... In the throes... Highs and lows.... Lone wolf woes in the throes. In the throes... In the throes... In the throes... In the throes... No one knows where this goes.

TWO HANDS IN THE MIDDLE OF AMERICA Nobody takes the time to write, but everybody says they could. Nobody’s been baptized, but everybody says we should. Nobody wants to see you grow at least not today. Everybody wants to put a hold on what you have to say. There’s no time for this zoo so please quiet your mind. Well I’m not the same as you so I’m gonna live my life. We’ve all got ourselves together said nobody anywhere. We’ve all got the means to change the weather, but we don’t care 'cause we've got ourselves tonight at least for a while. Up above the stars shine so bright. Pass on the chance to move towards the light. Oh, trust this rust is going to remain the same, you’ve been warned. But hey if you can get your name on the television and spread your hateful fame and churn it, yearn it, and turn it. It’s turning, it's turning, turning, turning. Got to give. Got to give if you want to live. If you want to live you got to let go. Let go of yourself. Just live, don’t take, just give and let go. You know sometimes the pain don’t show, but then you've got two hands in the middle, two hands in the middle of America. Two hands in the middle, two hands in the middle of America. Two hands in the middle, two hands in the middle of America. Two hands in the middle, two hands in the middle of America.

ECHOES CLIMBING THE VINES OF TIME Sometimes the sky codes show us what we don't know. Sometimes the sky... Smiles deserved and transmitting what it is that makes us us. Wild birds on edge forgetting what it was that made them trust. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. Every day the old gray rain remains as changes trapped in vines. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. (Sometimes the sky) Every day is a good day to be alive. We breathe, we smile, and defend our names brain to brain and hand in hand with time. Illuminate the bow and steer through the tidal waves. Be brave. Silence those who choose to spread fear and discriminate. Don't discriminate. Be brave. Sometimes the sky codes show us what we don't know. Sometimes the sky codes show us what we don't know. Sometimes the vines... Sometimes the vines... Sometimes the vines... Yeah, sometimes the vines... Sometimes the vines intertwine with time. Sometimes the sky... Sometimes the sky... Sometimes the sky... Sometimes the sky... Sometimes the sky escapes our fragile minds.

BEFORE DAWN BREAKS DOWN Every day the wind blows, roaring from the north. Sometimes I get shy and thinking back and forth. But you won’t go ‘cause you won’t show. Oh no, the highway’s gone. Then you’re forced way off course through the burning fields. When you’re forced well of course the burning dawns. Comes the hammer to your bones. Blinded with both eyes closed. Echoes seem to bottle all that harshly hits home. A smile can lift the burden by painting the darkness full of hope. You stumble by design and bury truth inside. Break down before dawn. Tempted to resign and give in to Father Time. Oh no, sunrises gone. When you walk that line the cosmos realign. The cosmos burning strong. There goes your wind. There goes your faults. There goes your friend leaving on a big old plane. Nothing sustains, nothing dissolves before the dawn breaks free from the reigns and the plane’s long gone. Silence is the sound heard before the dawn. The dawn breaks down, breaks down with a song. A song lost then found. Found inside, inside an old shoe box, packed beside a cross that’s just as good as tossed. Tossed to the wind. As flawed as the psalms. A book can’t be law. Before the dawn breaks down in the fog born from the storm in the Andromeda sky. Parallel eye waving goodbye, howling ‘so long.’ 'So long.' Every day the wind blows, roaring from the north. Sometimes I get shy and thinking back and forth. But you won’t go ‘cause you won’t show. Oh no, the highway’s gone. Then you’re forced way off course through the burning fields. When you’re forced well of course the burning dawns.

Old 06:30
OLD This is getting old to have to cling to hope that you don’t burn this rope. It’s all become a joke. How far will you go to prove to those down low that the sheer site of fire it doesn’t mean there’s smoke? This is getting old. Skyline’s bleed trust. Punches turn to dust. How we are all equals. The shiniest steel still rusts. A challenge to our land. An offered balled fist hand. A lie to spite the light just cause you can’t understand. This is getting old. A ploy to create sides. Ballpoint pen divides brothers, foes, and friends then you go run and hide. You, yourself, and stone. Spotlight all alone. Pursuit of grandiose wrapped in thoughts unknown. This is getting old. Hold on to the truth for your children. Hold on tight for your children. A sense the ship’s sinking. A censorship of thinking. Threats for anyone. A foolish voice for fun. This is getting old. This is getting old. This is getting old. This is getting old. Trust the truth will unfold. This is getting old.

INFORMATION IN FORMATION Oh, when the world's waters subside will there be dust in place of tides? Or bloody pools of turpentine drying up that'll make us blind? Become alive. Love spills from the hurled barrage of pain pulled from ancient laws. Personified by the things we've lost, the wars we've brought, and the truth we've fought. Become alive. Let's stop praising those who control the chemicals. It's not the chemicals that flow. It's the human heart that grows. Let's stop praising those who control the chemicals. So now the chemicals have been exposed by greed that's chose. It's not the chemicals that glow. It's the human heart that grows. It's the human mind that knows.

RINGS OF LIGHTS THROUGH TREES It's not me I'm worried about. What's gonna happen to their future concerns me. Blaming then taming streams of borrowed thoughts so that chasing dreams of tomorrow doth not get lost in the fog. In the fog. You are not orbiting around the moon on your own. Please know you're not alone in this world. You are not alone. Humans are the problem. Humans are the problem. Humans are the problem. Humans are the problem.

Bloodline 05:55
BLOODLINE Some days I'm blinded by pain so cold. So I turn another page and grow one more day old. The silent singer is still alive I'm told. Though I'm not invincible to myself I don't want to know. The heart and the feathers that fall from skylines of gold. Ungrateful winter surrounds then calms, then atones. We'll visit those pins, loose skins. I can't adhere you mind. Only want to get inside my own eyes, and try to try to fog disguise. Well that's fine. Time is just time. Family and friends in my life, a baby girl and a bloodline make everything alright. It's alright. A priceless smile stretches for miles. You got to let it go, all your life, all the things that bind. Unpack your life, stay for a while it's divine. Don't let the secrets hide, 'cause time is just time. Family and friends in my life, a baby boy and a bloodline make everything alright. It's alright. Time's just time. Family and friends in my life, my baby girl and boy they're my bloodline and they make everything alright. Bloodline. Time is just time. Family and friends in my life, my baby girl and boy they're my bloodline and they make everything alright. Bloodline. Everything's gonna be alright. I can see it my children's eyes.

BUILDING BRIDGES IN A FORCE 10 GALE Comet gone too soon. Dangerously confused. Defiant like the birds you still bloomed. You've faced your fears of not enough years to go. You're done waiting on the snow. You're so beautifully sincere. I watch you move by the light of the moon. You make me want to move, move with the moon. The storm spins and spews destroying all the truth. You always take a stand and offer up your hands. If it means you'll start spinning too your heart still leads you to doom. Just know I know our children know you know. For that I love you to the moon. I watch you move by the light of the moon. I watch you move with the moon in tune. It's time to move with the exomoon. Hoon..... I watch you move guided by the moon. I watch you move by the light of the moon. When it's time to move you shatter all the doom. Forever spinning in tune with a gale of truth.

about

Sky Codes is dedicated to my mother and father, Darrylin and Frank Keenan. Mom and Dad, there are no words to express my love for you both and thankfulness for what you have done for me and my family. Thank you to all of my extended family and friends who have supported me along the way. I can never repay what has been gifted to me by so many. Thank you to my brother, Kyle, whom I have looked up to my entire life. I have to admit that you introduced me to a lot of the music that has been such a big part of my life. Thank you to the most selfless person I have ever known, the love of my life my beautiful wife, Colleen. There are truly no words that can quantify how much love you have spread to others. I love you to the moon. Thank you to my biggest inspirations, my heart and soul, my precious children, Harper Eve and Myles Daniel. You both make me so very proud each and every day, and constantly remind me of what matters in this life. I hope that one day you will understand just how much I love you.

“In March of 2020 I decided to start this project at my home. The COVID-19 virus had just surfaced to the point of a mass quarantine around the globe, and with it came an unparalleled mystery about what was to come in the future. Over the last twenty-one months I have enjoyed wading through the ups and downs of recording my own music, and trying to create a sound that I have had in my head for a long time. I am extremely thankful for having an opportunity to spend this time on my music and poetry. Some of these songs were born over the last number of years starting roughly in 2014, while some of them are new ideas that came together after the start of this project. I have tried to be as open and transparent as I possibly can during this process of creating something tangible, and have tried to give my songs a fresh sense of life and space. I also have enjoyed creating the artwork for both this album and all of the tracks. I hope that you enjoy these songs.” - Kasey (12.21.21)
